They'd been watching this show for two hours. Two hours of none other than My Little Pony. John groaned and flopped over on the couch, in too much pain to stay upright. His brain felt like it was bleeding.

Dave turned around, perking a curious eyebrow. "Dude, are you okay? You just made a dying whale sound. And if you're dying, get the hell off my couch. You're my friend and all but I'm not fond of corpses." He picked up the remote, pausing the show. It was paused at just the perfect frame to reveal a slightly horrifying frame of a badly animated Pinkie Pie.

"No, I'm not okay," John said, voice heavy with exasperation. "When you said we were going to watch magical ponies, I didn't think you meant all day! One episode, sure, but seriously Dave? I think we should watch something that doesn't make me want to puke rainbows." He tossed Dave a serious look, then glanced down at the remote in his hand. It was enough indication for him to move the remote far away from where John was seated.

"I don't think you realize the sheer ironic beauty of this show. It teaches you life lessons. Life lessons, John." A hint of intense passion crept into Dave's voice. "I think you need to watch this and learn about being friends. Lesson one: friends don't think about stealing the remote from friends." He barely even touched the remote before John smacked it out of his hand. The albino hung his jaw open in mock surprise. "John! How dare you prevent me from watching this amazing show that me and my Bro worship?"

John rolled his eyes and snatched up the remote. "Just because your Bro likes it doesn't mean you have to. Besides, your Bro is really weird so I wouldn't want to do everything he does."

"What did you say?" Dave tilted his shades down and glared at him, eyes narrowed. A shiver went up John's spine; that death glare combined with those crimson red eyes made him seem like a furious demon. "You little shit, don't dis my Bro. Ain't no one allowed to do that. Now give me that remote."

"Gee, I'd love to, but how about I teach you a life lesson? Stuff happens, you just gotta deal with it." He grinned mischievously whilst avoiding Dave's death stare. As he began flipping through shows, he heard the other boy go silent. John laughed and turned his head back to him. "Well you got over that quick–" Before he could finish his sentence, Dave tackled him to the floor. He made a grab for the remote, and the two continued to fight like idiots over it. Suddenly Dave leaned down, way too close to John's face for comfort, and kissed him. Just a very quick peck on the lips, but a kiss nonetheless.

John's eyes widened and he froze, staring into Dave eyes. A blush rapidly spread across his face as he opened his mouth to say something, but closed it. He finally managed to say something partially coherent. "Ohmygod what the hell Dave?!" He grabbed a fluffy pillow from off the couch and buried his face in it. Dave smirked, turning around to turn the show back on.

He sighed contentedly and wrapped an arm around John, who provided no response. "My life lesson number two: never steal the remote from me."
