Summary: Jenny wonders about her relationship with Gibbs.
Cliché
Jenny lay wide awake as insomnia struck her yet again in the Parisian hotel room.
"Go to sleep, Jen" Gibbs ordered tiredly as he wrapped his arms around her.
She leaned back into his bare chest without conscious thought. He gave her a peck on the forehead.
Jenny could not sleep because her head was swimming in thoughts, mostly about her and Jethro's relationship. She had never intended to sleep with her partner while they were deep undercover; it was not even a sub clause of the five-point-plan she had made as a naïve freshman in college. Falling in love with her partner while they pretended to be other people had definitely not been in the plan.
"I can here you thinking," Gibbs declared as he buried his face her long red hair.
As he spoke, it struck Jenny how much of a cliché their relationship was; two undercover agents falling in love in Paris. Of all the places in the world it had to be Paris. Jenny began to wonder if that's what it was, if it was the fact that they were in another world that was making her think and feel like this.
"You know I can read your mind," Gibbs whispered playfully into her ear.
"You're not that good," Jenny responded as Gibbs started kissing her neck.
"What are you thinking about Jen?" he asked between kisses. His day old stubble felt rough on her soft neck. She could feel his deep blue eyes piercing the back of her head.
"The mission tomorrow," she lied. She could not even try to explain how
"Well," Gibbs muttered, "I think we can do something about that."
