Third thing I've posted in under 24 hours, I've never written this fast, hope you all enjoy.
Meant to be a tie in sort of thing for 'To Love a Hero' but can be read on its own.
Under the Mask
He all but crashes into the garage as JARVIS fights to keep control of the suit; shot up full of painkillers Tony stumbles about drunkenly.
The suit opens up, allowing Tony to stumble out, and immediately drop to his knees without the support.
"Tony," Pepper cries, quickly darting across the lab and dropping to her knees to cradle his head.
"Hey Pep," he slurs tiredly as his eyes drop.
"Mr. Stark has sustained heavy bruising down the right side of his body, as well as dislocating his right shoulder." Jarvis rattles off. "Sleep deprivation is also affecting his health, I recommend immediate bed rest."
Pepper swallows back the tears at his battered state, trying to focus solely on the fact that he's come home alive.
He smiles a little lopsided at her and kisses her, whispering that it will be all right.
