The words rang in Lauren's head as she cried tears of heartache. The song had played on the radio earlier, and now it was all Lauren could think about. It explained everything about her failed marriage.

Lauren was ready to let her husband leave. The changes in his personailty were breaking her heart day by day. The way he acted towards her, seemed so cold. He wasn't the man she knew anymore.

The day that Matt finally left, it broke Lauren's heart. The only reason he gave her was "he wanted to be with Carly." Those words broke Lauren's heart more than anything, because she thought they were perfect for each other. She actually thought that they were going to last.

We were never meant to be together
They were meant to be. Their marriage was nothing but pure bliss, until Matt found out he had another child. If nothing had ever happened, Lauren was sure that the two of them would still be together. She was sure that they would still be happy like before.

If she was ready to let him leave, then why couldn't she let him go? She insisted on holding onto something that was far out of her reach. Her heart just wouldn't let go, and there she was listening to some Hinder song and comparing it to her life.
Lauren finally turned her thoughts of, and shook the tears away. She wasn't going to cry anymore, she was going to move on. "If he can do it, so can I." She told herself. Lauren was determined to move on, and find somebody better. All she wanted was somebody to treat her better than what he did. "I'm fine without you." She whispered faintly, letting it seep into her head. She was fine and she was going to move on.
