Phantom of the opera is my favourite movie so when I found out that it was a category I decided to do this. Please review and check out my other stories.

Chapter 1: Christine

Crowds of wealthy fans erupted into a standing ovation as the last notes of her signature song 'Think of Me' echoed off the smooth marble columns of the famous Paris Opera House. Christine curtsied and smiled, flashing her pure white teeth. Somewhere in the crowd her husband called out to her, his hands clapping above his head. Red and white roses flew at her as she waved to her loyal fans.

Christine made her way behind the stage, welcomed by her entourage waiting to escort her to the dressing room with a gold name plate bearing the name 'Christine DaaƩ'. She stepped out of the long, heavy, diamond-studded white gown she was adorned with and slightly loosened the suffocating corset, slipping into a more conventional red gown with a slim waistline and elegant black lace on the hemline. Her husband Raoul and their children Pierre, 10, and Rose, 8, waited at the end of the long, marble hallway which snaked around behind the opera house.

"You were breath-taking," Raoul said, taking her gloved hand and kissing it. His light brown hair fell around his face and he brushed it back. Rose, who looked beautiful in a dark blue velvet dress that matched her eyes, stepped forward towards her mother and handed her a red rose.

"For you mama," she said, her reddish-blonde hair fell past her waist and was almost dead-straight, unlike her mother's dark brown curls.

"Thank you, my darling," Christine said leaning down and taking the rose from her daughter and smelling it. "It's lovely."

"You were beautiful mama," Pierre, looking very handsome in a black suit, spoke up and walked over to join his family.

"Thank you, sweetheart," Christine said, kissing her son on the forehead. The happy family strode over to an awaiting carriage and stepped inside.

Christine stared out the window as they rode through the dark Parisian streets, the street lights where dim and the lanterns on the carriage served as the better light source. Opera-goers bowed as they passed, recognizing the trademark 'rose' etching on the door as the personal transportation of Christine DaaƩ and her family.

Christine had begged Raoul to let her come and preform in Paris during her world tour, her husband was still scarred from the incident with the Phantom of the Opera 11 years ago. Christine had narrowly escaped from the burning of the original Paris Opera house and still lived in fear of the phantom coming back for her.

However, she still loved Paris and wanted to be here for her and Raoul's 10th anniversary of when they fell in love inside the confines of the opera house. The lovers married soon after, not wanting to waste any time, and conceived their first child Pierre on their wedding night with Rose born 2 years later.

Now after a short break to rest her voice, Christine was back into Opera and had been offered a world-wide tour. The family had jumped at the chance to return to Paris but it had taken some convincing on Christine's part to get Raoul to let her perform. He had eventually agreed but insisted on him being with her right up until she was onstage and was there waiting for her right after she finished.
