Short little drabble thing I wrote while high off caffeine and too little sleep.
He had known instantly upon awakening that there would be rain in London that day. And not the normal british drizzle either, but a good hard rain that would cause even the bravest soul to seek shelter from the cold and wet.
He groaned softly as he rolled out of bed and his bare feet hit the icy floor boards. On his way to the kitchen to find his breakfast he hit the power button on the Tv, it was already set on the channel that would be playing the news station.
He was scrambling eggs when the breaking news switched over to the weather forecast. The pretty weather girl pointed daintily to the line of colored blotches that represented the storm front and went on about how they were to expect two to three inches of rain. It was estimated that it would hit London sometime around late morning.
This brought a wry smile to his still sleepy face. At age fifteen Alex Rider could predict the weather by the ache of his scars and bones.
Don't worry Alex! I'm 18 and I can do that too! Though I didn't get this talent through being a spy. No. I got it because my Tae Kwon Do instructors didn't teach me properly and now all of my joints are messed up... Well there's that and that car wreck I was in when I was 14...
