The sun rose in the distance bringing with it an end to their most recent journey and the promise of a future epic.

The 3 stood there silently enjoying the sky's divine transition between colors, a much needed moment with beauty that they deserved after 7 years of hardships.

Only one thought mingled behind the lightning bolt scar

"Normality restored…."

"Did you say something Harry?" questioned Hermione

"Maybe he's finally losing his marbles. Well, wait a hold out mate; I thought you'd lose em 6 years ago." Answered Ron

And with those words the trio went into a fit of much needed laughter. They hung on to one another as they let their worries fly by past them, even if it was just for a few seconds.

"Children come inside; I need a word with you all" Beckoned the new head mistress of Hogwarts

"Coming Ms. McGonagall" replied Hermione

And with that the trio made their way to the desolate castle, their smiles fading with each step towards it.

Harry silently slowed down, and allowed his best friends to walk ahead of him. He needed the space, needed time to settle his nerves and gather his thoughts. What was he going to say, what could he say? Any comfort he could attempt to bring through his words will be an ill substitute for the ones they have lost. Any attempt to soothe the rampant emotions of grief and anger, exploding from the castle, would be met with powerful retaliation.

*They'll blame me* thought the boy who lived *….for I am to blame*

*I could've done so much more, if only I was strong-*

Suddenly Harry was jolted out of his thoughts by a light knock to his forehead. He looked up to find Hermione standing before him with a knowing smile and sad….sad eyes.

"Despair Harry….."

"What? What do you mean?"

She cupped my chin in her hand and continued.

"Despair is the only way HE could win now. Don't let him win Harry….."
