Black Sun
Blackness, I am falling through, Piercing knifes, pain I cannot escape.
Lights, dull and misty in my eyes, tiredness washes over me, the pain is overwhelming, how can one bare with this agony. It is as if my whole body is alight with flames. I cannot scream, I cannot move, I am bound, frozen to the spot.
Ice flows through my veins, bitting cold but refreshing. It makes me feel free.
Mixed memories flash before my mind, images of pasts I don't remember, portraits of the person I was, the person I could never be and the person I wanted to be.
Who am I?
My voice echoes around my mind, around the room that I was bound. It closed in on me, constricting my chest, taking away any chance of escape.
I curl my hands into fists, the muscles contracting and bulging beneath the skin of my arms. I let the rancid air escape me as I flex my body, breaking through my cage.
I feel new air fill my lungs, sweet but filled with secrets, concealing dangers. I inhaled deeply, drinking the addictive air, the intoxicating air. I knew by drinking it in I signed a binding contract, a contract to which would put me at the mercies of the secrets and dangers which it entertained. They would wait for me, they were patient. They would wait for me to fail and then they would reap their reward, take what is rightfully theirs. I had agreed to this with my first breath of the beautiful air.
I look down at my arm, the veins filled with ice protruding underneath the skin, the tight muscles pumped out. It is too real to me, this existence that taunts me with the unknown.
I do not know anything, I do not know anyone, but I am certain of one thing;
I am
Alive.
A/N: This is a new story that I am working on. At the moment I am playing around with the plot and the story but it is going to be pretty much what is in the summary. I would like to know what you think of this chapter, it will make sense after I upload the next one, so I would really like to know whether I should continue. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Cager.
