The Little Toy Train
Teddy sat in the living room, laughter erupting from his mouth as he played with his toy train. He pushed it forward, and back, forward, and back. He was having the time of his life, however short it may have been.
Then, all of a sudden, an owl swooped into the room from an open window. The owl had beady eyes and dark brown feathers that were very threatening to a small child.
Teddy was scared, but he was a true Gryffindor, like his father, even at the age of five. He wasn't going to let that evil creature ruin his playing, and he definitely wasn't going to let that evil creature hurt his Gran, who happened to be baking his favourite cookies in the over (although he would never admit he did it for the cookies).
He stood up and glared at him from his three foot five stature. "Go away!" He swung his arm out, trying to shoo the bird away. "Go away!" He repeated, but the bird was not to be deterred. Instead, it managed to peck Teddy's hand.
Teddy was mad by now. Using his accidental magical powers, he levitated his toy train and used it to chase the owl. The owl flew round and round and round the room, the toy train, followed round and round and round the room.
"Teddy Lupin!" His Gran shouted, disrupting the boy's concentration. Coincidentally, the little toy train had just so happened to be right above his head and of course, dropped right on top of his "wittle" head. The poor boy burst into tears and fell to the ground, holding his head.
"Oh, Teddy, Teddy," His Gran rushed forward and cradled him in his arms. She promptly pressed a kiss on his "boo-boo" and he stopped crying. "It's okay Teddy, just a little bump. Are you okay?"
Teddy gave her a watery smile, but manned (boyed) up and made a measly thumbs up with his hand.
a/n: That probably wasn't the best ending out there, but I thought it was pretty sweet.
