A/N: Hola. Laura here. So, this is my first Grey's Anatomy fanfic, so be gentle. But not too gentle. It's not like it's my first fanfic ever. Anyway, Sorry if it starts off a bit awkwardly. It was one of those fanfics that you write because you simply have to, and you won't rest till it's out there. Well, anyway. Yeah. This is Post-2x21 Superstition. Addek. Review, please.

DISCLAIMER: I don't own Grey's Anatomy. Le duh.

Truth, Lies, and Acceptance

INT. Sheppard Trailer

DEREK

Thanks for making the effort to be nice to Meredith today. She's been having a rough time lately. She could use a friend.

ADDISON

I can see that. I hardly used to make it easier on her…

DEREK (smug)

Were you jealous?

ADDIDON (smiling)

Maybe a little. But really, I actually feel a little…bad for her.

DEREK

Are you sure this isn't your subconscious way of sympathizing for Mark?

(Addison gives him a look)

DEREK (chuckling slightly)

Sorry, sorry.

(Addison looks down for a moment, looking slightly uncomfortable. All is silent. She looks up at Derek, opens her mouth to speak, falters, and closes her mouth again.)

DEREK

What?

ADDISON (after a moment)

I…I've been thinking about something Mark told me when he was down here in Seattle. I haven't been completely honest with you, Derek. It's not that I've been lying to you. I've just…failed to tell you some things.

DEREK (apprehensive)

What things?

ADDISON

I-well-please don't freak out, but…um… (She takes a moment to compose herself) After you found Mark and me together in New York, and you left…I stayed with him. I continued to see him after you'd gone. I'm sorry I never told you. I know it's horrible and wrong and everything that you hate, and I know this is no way to rebuild a relationship, but it's been eating at me ever since he came to Seattle, and I knew I had to tell you. I'm sorry.

(Derek's face falls for a moment, but he regains his composure—a look of understanding. He remains silent for a long while.)

ADDISON (flustered)

This is the part where you say something.

DEREK (quietly, after a moment)

Did you love him?

(A pained expression crosses Addison's face. She looks down, unable to look Derek in the eyes for a moment. She looks back up and nods slightly. Derek takes a moment to comprehend this.)

DEREK

Do you still love him?

(Addison hesitates, but shakes her head. Derek nods thoughtfully.)

DEREK (quietly)

Okay then.

(Addison rests her head on his shoulder and closes her eyes, seeming content that she's gotten everything on the table)

ADDISON (just as quietly)

Okay then.

(Two-shot of Addison and Derek—Addison looks content, and Derek looks apprehensive, but accepting.)
