"And why do you believe you're qualified?"

The older gentlemen rolled his soft blue eyes, staring at the young man in front of him. He had been through so many applicants that day, and none were fit to be a part of the Mafia.

He looked at his list of past men, and all had a harsh red line drawn through each of their names. Kurt Angle was a man who didn't need introduction. He was an Olympic Gold Medalist, the only one in the business of professional wrestling, he had one every major title in his past employer, WWE, and was a multiple World Champion in his current establishment, TNA iMPACT.

The fact that these men THOUGHT they could even be near him, let alone in his faction known as the Main Event Mafia. He sighed softly, licking his full lips impatiently as he listened to the man in front of him.

"Look, Rampage.. You have a great resume. You're a cage fighter, action film star, and much more. But, can you stand out in our group?"

Kurt stared at him; waiting for his feeble reply as the younger man spoke, speaking with authority. "Kurt, I get that I don't know much about what you're doing exactly with the Mafia, but I'm a fast learner. I can pick up anything you throw at me and run with it. I'm a powerhouse, man. Just give me that opportunity to prove you and everyone wrong."

Rampage finished his statement with a soft sigh, flexing his thick, dark hands in anticipation. Kurt gave him a thoughtful smirk, impressed by what the young athlete had to offer.

He gave him a soft chuckle, standing up to bring him into a tight hug and handshake. "You passed the test, Rampage! Thought I could punk ya' a bit, shake you up, but you're one tough SOB. You'd be a great asset for the Mafia."

Rampage chuckled from Angle's words, proud that the veteran didn't shake his hard demeanor. As Rampage nodded, accepting the honor of joining the Mafia, Angle pulled him close to his chest, his blue hues burning holes in the younger man's eyes.

"Don't make any mistakes, Rampage. I don't care who you've beaten physically, I can beat them in my sleep. I'm the wrong person to challenge. Yeah, you're in the Mafia, but you'll never be The Godfather. Now, you're excused."

Rampage, visibly taken aback from the abrupt change in personality of Kurt Angle himself, left the room in silence.

He knew he was in for the challenge of his life, and he mentally accepted that. As he walked toward the curtain, Kurt laughed gleefully behind him, realizing his strong point got across.

"There can be a Mafia, but there can only be one Godfather." His raspy chuckle filled the room, as he pulled on his shades, walking into the Impact Zone.
