Disclaimer: I don't own Glee.
A/N: I have been wondering about this for a long time, Kurt always moving a hand when hugging Blaine extra tight. Also I needed to write something to relief some exam stress.
Here
Chapter One
Blaine's hands are grasping at Kurt's back, struggling, searching not for hold but for a way to be closer still, for a way to feel Kurt is right here.
Kurt's own arms tighten in response around Blaine's upper body before his left begins its path, a firm, warm pressure that dislodges the held back sob from Blaine's throat.
"I love you so much. SO much," Kurt says, left hand still moving in an even rhythm, right resting solid, there, on Blaine's lower back.
And then Blaine is finally breathing it in again, the cool night air encasing them from all sides.
Blaine is just beginning to feel the sidewalk once more under his feet when someone on their phone, passing, bumps into them.
It is enough to jolt Blaine's breath back out of him, with it a whimper only audible to Kurt, Blaine holding on as hard as he can.
"Shhh, shhh," Kurt tries to sooth, the warm motion of his hand, never ceasing, knowing how much Blaine needs it to go on, even though Kurt does not know why, and he will not find out today.
The next day, the next morning, Kurt waking to find Blaine snuggled into his side even more deeply than any other day, Kurt placing a soft kiss to Blaine's curls asks, "What happened last night?"
They had just been walking home from a movie, Blaine only planning on dropping Kurt off then heading to his own place, when Blaine had gotten all emotional, more and more with every step until he had stopped and a couple of tears later had practically thrown himself at Kurt.
Kurt feels Blaine's fingers tightening again on what he can reach of Kurt, the two of them lying here like this, Blaine's head resting on Kurt's chest.
"Hey, shh, it's okay. You don't have to tell me. I really want to know though if you are okay. Are you ... okay?"
"You're here," is all Blaine answers as he scoots up a little and buries his face in the crook of Kurt's neck.
Kurt's left hand is already wandering again along Blaine's right arm, slung across Kurt's stomach still, as Kurt feels the few solitary tears hitting his skin.
