It was a cold winter morning when Lily went into James's room to apologize for the fight last night. It was over her walking in and seeing him and Snape dueling. She was angry cause she thought he had changed. But as soon as she went to open his door he came out. He said nothing but walked away holding a paper. She ran after him he didn't notice though.
He went all the way up to the astronomy tower and sat down by the window and cried. He reread the paper then though it at the wall and continued crying. Lily walked over and read it.
Dear Mr. Potter,
We are sorry to inform you that your parents
Courtney E Potter and Blane R Potter died
This morning by you-now-who. Their
Funeral will be at 5:30 p.m. Friday. We are
Sorry for your lost.

"James" Lily whispered walking next to him. "Go away" he said in a deadly voice he had never used with Lily it scared her. "No" she said trying not to show her sacredness and failing. He said nothing back but continued to cry. She when sat next to him he ignored her.
"James" she said he ignored her again. She thought of an idea "James remember when my parents died. You were there for me more than any of my friends that was the only time you didn't ask me out all the time. And I talked to you and we had the only civilized conversation ever. Do you remember?" she asked. "Yes" he said quietly but no longer in a deadly tone.
"Then why is it I cant talk you?" she said quietly. "Were your parents killed by Voldemot himself not a death eater? Were you tearted like a miracle every day? Cause that's how I was treated" he said in a deadly tone again. "No but loved mine like you loved yours" she said.
He said nothing she turned his face so he faced her. His eyes were puffy and red but she did not care. "I want you to talk to me like before" she said. He jerked his face away and said one thing before walking away "I talked to you cause I loved you then I still do but you don't I know you still hate me ". She had to tell him what she meant to tell him this morning. She ran after him but she couldn't find him.
She ran into Remus he helped her up "You ok Lily" he said. "Yea wears James," she said. "I saw him heading outside but dint ask why he seemed upset" he said. "James's parents died that's why" she said. And ran off she got outside and saw James.
He was walking across the grounds she ran to catch up to him. He turned and was about to talk but she cut him off and kissed him "I love you too" she said.
