"Zexion, don't let go!" Demyx screamed.
Demyx got scared very easily and when he decided to go through what Zexion called a "haunted house," he should have expected it to be this terrifying.
"Zexion?" Demyx realized within the shadows that Zexion had let go of his hand and all that could be heard was shuffling of feet and Demyx's heavy breathing. "Zexion!" He screamed.
"Dem, you'd think with all our teleporting to the darkness that you'd be over this scared-of-the-dark thing…" Zexion said.
Demyx was still trying to grope around for Zexion and ignored his comment.
"Hey guys, what's up?" Axel flicked on the lights which made Demyx jump at least a foot in the air.
"Aw, you ruined our fun." Zexion stated tiredly. "I was trying to get Dem to overcome his fear of the dark…"
"Hey… This is no haunted house…" Demyx just realized that they were in an empty ballroom that resembled similarly to the one in Beast's castle.
"Sorry. I didn't realize. Superior wants to see you Zexion." Axel said shutting off the lights again.
"Dem, I'll be back, try and find the light switch while I'm gone."
"Zexion?" Demyx's voice changed almost immediately from calm to a panic state. "Zexion!"
After a while Demy'x voice got weary. "Zexion… Zexion…"
"Dem. I've returned. Superior just—" Zexion said as he turned on the light. "Demyx!"
Demyx was curled up into a little ball in the corner of the room shaking.
"Demyx! Are you okay?" Zexion rushed over to him.
"Zex…Zexion. Is it you? Is it really you?" Demyx was in more of a dazed state than usual.
"Yeah Dem, it's me. What happened? Are you ok?"
"Zexion…" Demyx looked up, nodded and grabbed Zexion's hand.
"Let's get you to your feet. If someone saw you like that… Who knows what could have happened…" Zexion propped Demyx up against the wall next to him so then Dem could try and regain his balance again. "Dem, listen, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have played this mean trick on you."
"Apology accepted. No worries." Demyx mumbled trying to push away from the wall, even though Zexion's hand was still pushing on his chest.
"Dem… Maybe you should…"
"Stay put." Demyx agreed.
A minute or so past and Demyx attempted to move towards the door.
"Dem, hold on… Maybe you should take it slow…"
Demyx reached out, but not for Zexion's hand. He pushed back Zexion's hair away from his eye and then smiled. "I always liked it when you had shorter hair."
Zexion was caught off guard. "I uh… Thanks?"
"Yeah. You're welcome. Let's go. Axel's probably talking crap about us." Demyx laughed.
"You're feeling better." Zexion responded. "You look better."
"Yeah…"
"You guys seriously still in here?" Axel popped his head into the room and turned off the lights. "Enjoy your stay. Catcha later."
"Zexion?" Demyx pulled Zexion's shoulder closer to him like he was losing his balance.
"Wha—"
Before Zexion could say anything, Demyx's lips were on his and they were exchanging saliva. Somehow Demyx had regained enough balance that he and Zexion had switched places and Demyx was pulling his fingers through Zexion's hair.
"I'm no longer afraid. Don't leave me." Demyx whispered into Zexion's ear.
"Well, it's dark for one so us getting out of here is problematic. And I'm pretty sure Axel would lock us in here. So… We'll probably have to stay for a while…"
"Zexion, shut up." Demyx put his lips to Zexion's and they continued to kiss.
