A/N: Hello! This is my first purely Warriors Fanfic (I have a crossover), so please don't judge too harshly. This is based off of the friendship of Firestar and Graystripe. I hope you like it!
Friends.
Ever since that first battle between kittypet and apprentice, they've been friends.
The gray striped tom always stood next to the fire pelted one, as the best of friends. They always accepted the other's mistakes, and never judged them.
Even when the gray striped tom decided to give up his only children for the good of his clan, the fire pelted one stuck by him. And when he left for another clan, he welcomed him back without hesitation when he returned.
So when they thought his friend was lost to the Monsters and Twolegs, he didn't give up.
He refused a new deputy. He refused the thought of friend at death.
So when he returned, he welcomed him back the same as before. Without hesitation.
The gray striped one always had faith in his friend. Even when he became mates with the she-cat, Sandstorm, he was still his friend, and had faith in him, no matter how many arguments they had.
Even when he slept in his old kittypet friend's garden, and thought he was going to leave them, he had faith, and stayed as his friend.
Even when he went off with Sandstorm, on that quest, he had faith he would return.
He even was his deputy, the two friends for life.
So he worried for him in that last battle, against the ghost of Tigerstar; he tried to help, but was held back. It was going ok, as well as ok goes in battle reference, and he defeated their mortal enemy, until the lightning struck the tree above him.
And he was gone.
"I would have taken your place, if you had let me." He had muttered. Greif ran through the gray striped one.
They are still friends now, one in Starclan, and one still walking on the Earth below. Far apart,
But still friends.
A/N: really short I know, and I left out so many scenes of these two friends, but I hope you liked it anyway. Again, this is my first pure Warriors Fanfic, so this may be off a bit, but anway,
