The characters are all young adults and college students. Toshiro, Rangiku, Yumichika, and Ikkaku are roommates.
Toshiro, Yumichika, Ikkaku, and Rangiku walk into a coffee shop.
Rangiku "Toshiro order for us. You know what we get?"
Toshiro sighs "Fine. But your buying dinner later."
"That's fair."
Toshiro walks to the counter while the three sit down.
Girl "Oh Toshiro? The usual I'm guessing?"
Toshiro nods "No carmel on mine?"
The girl smiles "Sure thing. Coming right up. I still really like your name by the way. It's cute."
Toshiro blushes as he looks at her "I it-it's not cute…"
She smiles and Toshiro blushes more.
Girl "That will be $16 dollars."
Toshiro slides his card.
"Okay. Thank you for stopping here. I'll have those drinks coming right up."
"Thanks you too."
The girl raises an eyebrow as Toshiro realizes his mistake.
"I mean- uh- have a nice day!
The girl giggles as Toshiro leaves and goes to his friends.
Toshiro sits down and covers his face.
Rangiku "Ehh?"
"What happened?"
Toshiro "I'm never ordering again…"
"You freak out cause the girls cute?"
Toshiro doesn't answer which means yes.
His friends laugh slightly.
"You have to be more confident already?"
Toshiro grumbled "Easy for you to say Yumichika."
Rangiku "Come on Toshiro! You've been crushing on the barista for months!"
Toshiro runs his fingers through his hair "I know. I know. It's just that… she's way out of my league. There's no way someone as cute as Karin would go out with a freak like me."
"She's a barista and a coffee shop ran by her sister. You're a college student at the best school in Japan."
"Hate to admit this but half the girls at school have a crush on you."
"The other half had a crush on you at some point."
Rangiku "As a girl I can confirm that that is true. I'm president of the women's club. You're the topic a lot. It's weird. I'm president mostly because I know most about you."
"Wait Rangiku you have or had a thing for him?"
Rangiku nods "First week of school. Then when we started being friends I realized he's not my type."
Toshiro makes a grossed out face "You had a crush on me? Eww why?"
Rangiku shrugs "You were mysterious. And top of the class. Yet had the rebel look? You seemed interesting."
Toshiro blinks.
"Order for Toshiro?"
Toshiro blushes as he walks over to the counter.
Toshiro "Thanks Karin."
Karin smiles "No problem Toshiro-San."
Toshiro blushes slightly grabbing the drinks.
He walks back over and sees his friends smiling about to laugh.
Toshiro puts the coffee down "Shut up I was nervous…"
They sigh taking their coffees.
Toshiro picks up his and looks at the side then blushes deeply turning around to Karin who continues working.
"What is it?"
"Toshiro you okay?"
Toshiro nods with a wobbly smile "P-perfectly fine!"
They raise an eyebrow as Toshiro nervously drinks his coffee without looking at them.
"What happened?"
"N-n-nothing!"
They raise an eyebrow and drag him outside.
Toshiro "Well I'm going back to the apartment to study."
The watch him walk off fast.
Toshiro looks at the side of his cup and reads it again.
"Careful the coffees hot, just like you. Call me sometime? *insert number* ~Karin"
Toshiro blushes deeply as he pulls out his phone and types the number into his contacts.
Without thinking completely he texted her telling her who it is.
