Another quick one-shot/drabble. The idea was stuck in my head again. It's fluff yes, but I think it's not too much OOC at the same time.
I will try to write a new chapter for my main story soon - until then I appreciate reviews, since I didn't receive many on my latest chapter. And now enjoy reading!

"It's time to go to bed my little ninja monkey", she smiled mildly as she saw her daughter jumping on her bed, not quite willing to sleep now.
Her wild and curly hair was waving in the air, softly tickling her nose, causing her to giggle even more.
She came to rest with a thud, still smiling widely as she tried to catch her breath.
Ziva walked over to sit down next to her. "Hey, you sit on your blanket. I can't tuck you in like that", she smiled at her daughter.
Quickly she crawled under the blanket and reached for her favourite teddy.
"I don't want to sleep Ima." A sad look crossed her face.
"Why not my dear?" she looked at her questioningly, wondering what caused the sorrow in her eyes. It was one of the things she shared with her. Her eyes never stopped communicating.
"I miss daddy. I don't want him to be so far away." For such a young girl she understood things pretty well. Sometimes Ziva wished it would be different, she wanted her to have a carefree childhood.
"He will be back soon", she whispered, caressing the cheek of her daughter, not letting go of the eye contact. "I miss him too. But he will be back in a few days. You know he has to work a little more sometimes."
"I know Ima. He's catching the bad guys, yes?"
Her reply caused Ziva to smile a little. "Yes, that's what he does darling."
"And you helped him doing this?"
She loved hearing this story. Ziva had to tell her how they met a thousand times before and she seemingly never got tired of it.
"I did! We were a great team, you know? He is a good man and I fell in love with him the moment I first met him." She remembered their first meeting and the smile on his lips.
"I love him too mummy. Do you think I can also catch bad guys when I'm older?"
This question actually caused Ziva to laugh a little. "If that is what you want, of course. But until then you have a lot of time to find out what you want to be."
She just wanted her to be happy and have a safe future and she was sure she would have one given the fact that she was surrounded by people that really loved and cared for her.
"Maybe I can ask grandpa tomorrow if I can work with him one day." the little girl said sleepily.
"Yes, you can do that. But for now," Ziva leaned down to give her a kiss on the forehead "it is time to get some sleep. You need to be well-rested if we want to visit him tomorrow!"
As every night they prayed together before Ziva went towards the light switch to turn off the light for the night.
"Laila tov yekirati. Ani ohevet otakh!"
"Good night Ima. I love you too." she mumbled, almost asleep now.
She closed the door and thought about how lucky she was to have a family again.
Her family.
