Understand
Boq doesn't understand why Nessa likes dances so much. It makes no sense—she's in a wheelchair, after all.
Every time they go to a dance, Nessa seems happy just being there. Occasionally she'll want to dance, if it's a song she really loves, but other than that, she just watches the dance floor with a smile on her face.
Boq doesn't really mind taking Nessa to dances—it gives him an excuse to see Galinda. Not that he'll ever mention that to Nessa. He just pretends it makes him happy to see Nessa happy.
He's considered asking Nessa why she likes these parties, but he never gets the courage to. It seems rude for some reason—he never finds it weird that Galinda likes partying, so why should it be weird that Nessa does, too? So he doesn't ask, just takes her to dances whenever she wants.
And every time, she'll just sit there, smiling, completely happy without ever dancing.
Boq can't understand why Nessa likes dances so much.
