"I'm home," a voice called from the front door of the small apartment. A man with jet black hair and bangs that lay flat over one eye, dressed in a dark navy colored suit started to undo his dark red tie and placed his suitcase by the door. He slipped off his scuffed-up dress shoes and took a few steps into the house, only to see over out of the corner of his dark eye, his beloved sitting in the pale green recliner at the far end of the living room. He turned his head and smiled at her, only to see she wasn't smiling back. A girl of brown eyes and dirty blonde hair stared with a serious complication at the man.
"What took you so long to get home?"
"Ah, sorry. Boss kept me at work,"
"Oh really," The girl asked, getting out of the recliner and walking over to the man, standing 3 inches to short of eye level with him. The man's smile dropped.
"What's wrong baby?" he asked, pure confusion in his voice. "What's wrong with you! The way you always lie to me!" she yelled, clenching her fist at her side.
"What?"
"How many times have I heard those lame-dame excuses, baby?"
"Why do you always assume I'm lying?" the man shot back, keeping his voice calm.
"You're drivin' me crazy, babe. With all the same excuses all the time, and all the arguing, it's drivin me crazy!"
"Well babe, you're the only one that starts the arguments. Is it your time of the month or something?" He asked, reaising one dark eyebrow.
"You know we were a fine couple before I moved in. We-"
"SHUT UP!" the girl screamed. There was a painfully long silence in the living room. The atmosphere heavy with mixed emotions. Finally, the male gently rested his hand on her shoulder. "Max, just breath and lets start the evening over again, alright?"
"Why? Cuz it's the same old rutine when we 'start over' Fang," the dirty blondette murmered, sounding hurt. "I know you're tired of this fighting," he spoke in a soothing voice, earning a glare from Max.
"You're damn right, cuz I've heard those same excuses recently,"
"This is different then last time babe,"
"No it wasn't," Max spoke, not missing a beat. "Baby that was a different thing,"
"No it wasn't!"
Max, that was a-"
"Shut up, just shut up Fang!" Fang quickly reacted by moving his hand to the back of the girl's head and pulling it to his, kissing her breifly on her pale lips. Her cheeks flushed a deep pink color and before she could react, he pulled away. "Stop talkin' before I start walkin' darlin'," he whispered huskely to his beloved Max. Max was silent, her face slowly dropping from anger to a more sorrowful look.
"So that's it?" she chocked, tightly clenching to the dark haired man. Fang sighed imbraced her, gently stroking her hair. "I love you Max," he cooed.
"Shut up, Fang,"
