What's in a Name?
Written for the Weekly Drabble Challenge on NFA. Prompt word: spike.
Tony stared with barely concealed amusement at the growling creature. It was smaller than his foot, an appendage he dearly wished to introduce to the little menace, but NCIS generally frowned upon agents who injured the pets of witnesses.
"Nice doggie," he crooned, only to be met by a bout of vicious barking. "What's his name?"
"Spike," the black-haired, pierced, and tattooed youth replied.
Tony snorted. "Spike?" He gave the young woman a once over and grinned. "Let me guess. You have a pet iguana, too, and you named him Fluffy."
One eyebrow rose in surprise. "How did you know?"
