It all felt like a horrible nightmare. Another curse. Another thing that would separate Emma Swan from her family again. They had just found each other and now this happened. She didn't know whether to curse Pan or fate for her nasty bit of fortune. All of those people she had come to love stood with her next to the town line, a cloud of smoke creeping towards them. She didn't want to leave them alone again. She didn't want to be left alone again but this was the only way. Embracing her parents she felt the tears forming in their eyes. Her mother attempted to comfort her though she herself was falling to pieces. After her final goodbyes she moved towards the old yellow bug that had seen her through so many hard times. Looking back at her family one last time she blew them a kiss before entering the car.

"Ready to go?" Henry asked her, his voice still shaking from the sadness threatening to overtake him.

"As ready as I will ever be."

The engine roared to life. "Goodbye Storybrooke. " Neal said as he put his foot to the gas. They slowly crossed the line just as the smoke enveloped the residents of Storybrooke.

"Dad, are we there yet?"

"I told you a thousand times kid. We are on a roadtrip, not on a get there ASAP because Henry forgot to charge his DS trip."

"Neal, be nice!" Emma playfully swatted Neal's shoulder.

"Are you okay sweetheart? You look like you have been crying." Neal's voice was filled with concern.

"I am fine...I guess I just got something in my eyes. Once we get to our apartment I will take some allergy pills." She wiped some of the tears from the corners of her eyes.

"I can't wait to get back to New York. I am hungry."

"We will be home soon." The words seemed so foreign on his tongue and Neal couldn't help shaking the feeling that they had just left home instead of on their way there.
