"Please, I need to feel more then this hurt. I need more then the taste of tears on my mouth." JJ's eyes cut straight through me.
It was as if the way she looked at me all but made the decision without any conscious effort on my part.
I felt her hair beneath my fingers, how the cold wetness from the rain burnt the skin on my hand as I traced my fingers along her neck.
"My love...if only you knew..." I couldn't hold her gaze; the pleading swimming in the blue depths of her soul was crushing me.
"Tell me, Emily, please." Her voice was hoarse from crying, from screaming into the night.
Don't beg me; I can't say no if you beg me - my mind screamed.
Pulling JJ's wet, shivering body to mine I felt the way her nails dug into my skin through the cotton of my shirt. My heart was pounding against my rib cage and my body wanted nothing more then to show her how I felt.
"I would do anything for you to smile, for you to see that you are worth so much more then any foolish words I can say."
Her bottom lip trembles ever so slightly that I'm surprised when I feel a hot tear track its way along my cheek.
I'm cradling her face between my hands so she'll look at me. I can't stop the flush that spreads along my neck; just being able to touch her like this is like fire. She feels so warm and alive standing here, her eyes desperately searching for something I'm not sure I can give her.
"You said anything; you said you'd do anything? Then I'm asking you to..." Her voice catches in her throat as a fresh wave of tears threaten her crumbling composure.
"Asking me to what? Tell me what you want and I'll do it." How can I refuse her again? How can I break her heart when I'm not even sure there is anything left?
"Please, just...show me what I'm worth to you."
And that's all it took. My lips are against hers the moment she says it and I don't care.
I can feel her hands beneath my shirt and her nails as she scratches them down my sides. Her lips are like fire and I'm becoming lost in her.
I pull back and rest my forehead against hers and my heart lurches at the small moan escapes her throat.
Her eyes flicker up to mine and at the same time I'm so happy and terrified to find what lingers in them. She's running patterns along the small of my back as I look back at her.
Words fail me as I see the raw emotion in her eyes, the way fresh tears slide over her lips and down her chin and this time she's kissing me hard.
My hands tighten in her damp hair as I feel her tongue press against my bottom lip. Sliding my mouth against hers I press her to the wall a few steps in front of us.
I can feel my lungs burning for release but she pulls back first and her swollen lips are smiling just softly enough for me to see in the street light.
"Do you think the rain had passed?" It's a whispered question that surprises me.
"There's always more." I turn to look at the sky my eyes turned Heaven side.
The loss of contact is instant and my eyes snap back to the empty space in front of me. Turning around I watch as she walks onto the shining footpath with her arms in the air by her head.
"I think I could fall in love with the rain." My heart stops as she looks back at me and smiles.
I've no idea when but I think I became the rain to her. Frowning slightly I look back at the sky as the clouds open up again and suddenly the wet is falling hard and fast around us.
