I see you standing there, underneath the purple sky. Your body sways slightly, elegant and tall, towering over mine. I call your name, and you look up, your hazel eyes brightening when you see me. You walk towards me and smile, caressing my cheek. I lean into the touch, shivering even though the air is warm and soft. The day is kissing the night now, and your features dance in the colored light. Everything about you is perfect. There is no one to disturb us or call us wrong, scorn us for being together. No one will ever come between you and me.

As a blanket of shadows engulfs the day with night, we lay upon the silver grass, hands entwined in a promise. Your hair covers your eyes, and I reach out to sweep it away. Our gazes lock for a moment before your lips softly touch mine.

Every kiss I share with you is everything I've ever dreamed of. It's soft, sweet and passionate. We stay like that for a few moments before you break away and we sigh. I can never get enough; just one touch can make me frantic for more. There is nowhere we need to go, no rush to be somewhere.

Then, I am pulled back to reality by the sound of your angelic voice. I realize again that it has all been a dream I have envisioned. None of it is existant. It never was.

I try and try, but no matter what I do, I can't make these visions real. They're all I have now, and all I will ever get.

These precious illusions in my head.
