"Oh, Come on, Amy!"

Once again, Sonic was turned away by a furious Amy Rose. "'Come on'? Are you serious? Go jump into a lake, Sonic." Sonic flinched at the mention of water, but he knew Amy didn't really mean it. She was just upset. Because of me… He thought bitterly. "Look, I'm sorry, okay? I didn't mean to leave you. Eggman attacked and I needed to go and save the village."

Amy, first turned away from Sonic, whipped around to face him, jade eyes smoldering. "No! This is the sixth time, Sonic!" She quieted, tone softer and eyes tearing up.

"How can we be together if you don't keep your promises?"

Sonic's eyes widened; he knew where this was going. "Amy, please! Just one more chance! I promise I will never do that to you again!" Amy lifted her gaze to look at him, a single tear flowing down her cheek. "Prove it." "W-what?" "Prove it to me that you love me. Prove it to me that you are still in love with me."

Sonic put his arms around her waist, pulling her close to him. He spoke softly next to her ear. "I'm sorry, Ames. Please… forgive me." He felt her shiver beneath him, and he trailed kisses down her jaw, light and gentle. He paused at her lips, and captured them in a long, slow kiss. They pulled away once there was a need for oxygen, gazing into each other's eyes before Sonic gripped her in a hug.

Amy immediately responded, hugging him back just as fiercely. She began to sob, burying her face in the crook of Sonic's neck. Sonic rubbed her quills, murmuring, "I'm sorry..." over and over again. Amy slowly stopped crying, lifting her head to look into Sonic's emerald green eyes, filled with regret.

She knew that he wouldn't leave her again.

Sonic smiled gently at her, asking, "How about tonight? At the hill, looking at the sunset?" Amy giggled, replying, "Sure." Her expression became mischievous. "Can I bring a water gun?" Sonic raised an eyebrow, before they both burst out laughing. They slowly came to a stop, looking up as jade met emerald.

"Sonic…?" "Yes, Amy?" "You are forgiven."

I'm really sorry, everyone. I am going to write another one-shot, probably by the end of this week, or the start of the next.
