Hi again everybody. I don't really know how long it has been since I updated that other story. I'll have to apologize very deeply ... I just don't feel that motivated anymore to write another chapter. And it has also noticed to me that story is pretty crappy in the beginning ... So, when I'm REALLY trying to get better at writing now so when I really feel motivated to do it (HELP ME) I'll rewrite everything so that it sounds nice.

So this story is called Sakebi no Jinsei and ... I kind of forgot what it meant because I wrote this story a while ago ... sorry!!! I won't write more of this story if I don't get a lot of response from it though. I'll add probably one more chapter before I give up though (because it is already partially written). So thank you very much for reading and please enjoy, Sakebi no Jinsei.

Prologue: Doushite?

She gasped for air as she ran away from her attacker. She knew screaming would not help for after all, there never was a savior for the citizens of the Kusajishi district. She knew that fact well after seeing her mother get brutally slaughtered in front of her just a few minutes ago. Tears slipped from her eyes knowing what would happen.

I'm going to die.

--

She sobbed as tears blurred her vision. The murderer knew no mercy in his heart, for he was gone from the world, gone to insanity. She glanced up at the sky for she wished that she could fly away. Fly far away from the Kusajishi district, far away from death.

--

Yet that was impossible. Any sane person who lived in the Kusajishi district was condemned to death. The dark shade of red stained the ground. The metallic smell always filled the air and cries, screams begging for mercy could be heard every second. Throughout all of Rukongai, everybody knew that fact. If you went to the Kusajishi district, you went to your death.

--

Suddenly, a rough hand yanked her back and she fell onto the ground with a heavy thump. Pain filled her body as the dry roots stabbed her already wounded body. Blood dripped to the ground. She looked up to see the eyes of that man. His eyes filled with insanity, a hunger for death. Her eyes widened as he unsheathed his katana … no was it a-

--

The katana stabbed the girl in the stomach. She stared down in shock as blood crept out staining her shirt a dark, almost black red. He then yanked it back out diagonally so that blood poured out through a long slash. She cried in horror as blood erupted through her mouth. The man just grinned at the girl that lay in front of him, paralyzed in pain, struggling for air, struggling for life.

--

As he brought his sword down once more to complete her death, her reiatsu fluctuated and it skyrocketed. A loud scream filled the air filled with pain, suffering, sorrow, a scream that captured the voices of all the murdered in Rukongai, a scream that wept one question.

Why?
