Separate Ways
Chapter 1
"She loves me MORE!!" screamed Edward.
"NO! She just doesn't want to hurt anyone." Jacob hollered back.
The two of them kept fighting back and forth, nothing physical, just a usual struggle for Bella's heart.
There in the middle of the meadow was Bella sitting with her face in her hands, she was rubbing her temples. Every few minutes she would ask if they were finished yet but they just made excuses like "It's okay Bella, I'll handle this" and "Don't worry he's almost ready to give up."
This was the fifth argument this week and Bella had enough. All of a sudden she stood up and shrieked "STOP! You guys have to stop fighting!"
"But we need to know who you love more," explained Edward.
"Seriously Edward, Bella's got a point, she's not going to like either of us if we keep fighting like this." Jacob said, glaring at Edward.
"Finally, someone understands what I've been trying to tell you two." Bella acknowledged.
"Yeah, I get that, but you haven't accepted either of our engagements in like the past two years. Plus, I thought you wanted to be a vampire SOOOOO… bad" Edward replied with a hint of annoyance in his voice.
Bella whined hoping to find a way out of this. "I know I said that, but I was just a foolish teenager, now I'm twenty and I have a better idea about what LOVE really is about."
"Whatever, lets just flip a coin or something" Edward remarked.
Jacob sprung up, "I have an idea!"
"Who cares wolf boy, ooh I know NO ONE," Edward began to chuckle.
"I care, so what were you thinking Jacob?" Bella asked thoughtfully.
"Well, why don't we run off in our own directions and Bella can follow whoever she wants."
"Let's just get it over with," Edward mumbled as he took off towards Forks.
"See you later, Bells" Jacob said waving as he transformed into a wolf and began to run home.
Now, Bella just stood there alone in the meadow, she felt the presence of the Cullens and the Pack, watching her from the trees, waiting for her next move.
