(So this is a story I wrote a long time ago, and I wanted to share it. I didn't re-read all of it, so there might be a lot of mistakes. This take place in an AU where Emilie had two younger sisters, both of which were not Aaliyah, and they died, including Belle and Adam. Dark, I know. But I still hope you'll enjoy this yeah, it's also a "modern day" leave a review to let me know what you think!)
Chapter One
Sitting at her desk, Emilie was on her phone browsing online while listening to music with her earbuds. Emilie has been glued to her phone ever since she got it as a gift. Emilie was getting bored looking around online. She was about to get off her phone when she saw a thumbnail for makeup tips. "I wonder how this will go." Emilie thought as the video loaded. The video showed a girl close to Emilie's age putting on some makeup in specific ways. Seeing this video made Emilie think about how she did her makeup, or rather, how her servants did her make-up for special occasions.
The way her servants did her make up verses how this girl was doing her make-up was very different. The way this girl was doing her makeup got Emilie thinking. Emilie thought of how other girls her age dress and put their makeup on. "I'll take a look and see how girls my age put makeup on and how girls my age dress." On her phone Emilie looked up many different ways girls her age dress and different ways girls her age put makeup on.
In almost all of the images and videos Emilie saw the girls had lots of different makeup. Emilie thought of the makeup her servants used. There wasn't a whole lot, especially since Emilie doesn't really like to wear makeup. Wearing makeup felt weird to Emilie, like there was something tickling her face slightly. "Maybe wearing these kinds of makeup is fun." Emilie thought to herself. "I want to buy some of this kind of makeup." Emilie got up from her desk and went out of her bedroom to find Plumette.
Emilie looked in the west wing, the portrait gallery, the dining room, three different studies, and the kitchens but still couldn't find Plumette. "I saw Lumiere in the kitchen. Maybe he knows where Plumette is." Going back to the kitchen Emilie was able to find Lumiere talking to Mrs. Potts. Walking up to the two, Emilie asked, "Hey, Lumiere, have you seen Plummette?" Emilie asked Lumiere. Lumiere faced Emilie. "Hello Emilie! I believe I saw Plumette near the front entrance by the fire." Lumiere told Emilie. "Okay, thank you Lumiere."
Not wanting to waste any time, Emilie quickly made her way out of the kitchens and to the front entrance. Just like Lumiere said, Plumette was by the fire near the front entrance. Plumette was sitting down reading. Emilie walked up to Plumette slowly.
Looking up from her book, Plumette saw Emilie and smiled. "Bonjour, Emilie. How are you today?" The maid asked politely while smiling. "Hello Plumette. I'm fine, thank you for asking. I was wondering if you could take me somewhere." Emilie asked, acting kind of sheepish. "You want me to take you somewhere? I'll do it, but why do you want me to take you?" Plumette responded looking at Emilie with a bit of curiosity in her eyes.
Emilie waited a minute before responding. "I wanted you to take me because I thought you would like to come with me to buy some makeup." Emilie explained to Plumette. "Buy makeup? You want to buy makeup?" Plumette questioned. Plumette did most of Emilie's makeup and knew very well that Emilie did not enjoy wearing the makeup. "Yes, I want to buy some makeup. So can you please take me to buy some?" Emilie looked at Plumette with pleading eyes. Plumette was thinking about it. "Alright, alright. I will take you."
"Yes! Thank you Plumette! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" Emilie took one of Plumette's hands and pulled her towards the limo out front. Plumette got inside the front to drive and Emilie got into the back. Around 4:50 the two arrived at the makeup store. Excitedly, the two smiled at each other before heading inside. Plumette was looking around the place to see if she wanted to buy anything. Emilie grabbed a basket and started to put in lots of different kinds of makeup. Different kinds of lip gloss, lip balm, eyeshadow, concealer, bronzer, blush, eyeliner, mascara, and eyebrow enhancers. The bottom half of Emilie's basket was completely full.
Plumette turned her attention to Emilie but her mouth opened in shock to see how much stuff was in the basket. Plumette had picked out a few items, but Emilie had picked out a ton of makeup. "Wow, that much makeup Emilie?" Plumette asked. Emilie looked at her with no expression on her face and said, "Yes." Emilie walked up to the counter to purchase all of the makeup. Plumette purchased hers and the girls went out of the store to go back to the castle.
Emilie thanked Plumette once again, hugged her, and then ran off to her bedroom. "Dinner will be served soon." Emilie thought. "Maybe I can wear some of my new makeup to dinner and as apart as my evening attire." Emilie quickly changed into her evening attire and sat down at her vanity to apply her makeup. Applying makeup like this was harder, but it looked nicer and didn't look over the top. Then again, Emilie never had to apply her own makeup before, so this was a new experience.
Finished applying her makeup, Emilie stopped to look in the large mirror in front of her. Studying her face, Emilie did a pretty good job applying the makeup. The way Emilie did it made her look even more beautiful. The makeup highlighted her beautiful features, making her look flawless in the minds of many people. Seeing her reflection reminded her of what her mother and father told her constantly," Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Don't change how you look for other people. You are already so beautiful." Emilie shook those words from her mind as she admired herself in the mirror.
Emilie heard a knock coming from her door. "Just a minute!" Emilie said. She got up from her vanity to answer her door. When she opened the door, she saw Lumiere. By the look on Lumiere's face, he was surprised to see Emilie wearing makeup.
"Hi Lumiere. Did you want to tell me something?" Emilie asked, acting oblivious to the fact that she was wearing makeup. Lumiere blinked before answering Emilie.
"Yes. Yes, I did. Dinner is ready." Emilie smiled. "Okay, thank you Lumiere." Lumiere turned to leave but Emilie stopped him. "Oh, and Lumiere?" Lumiere turned around. "Yes, Emilie?" he asked, slightly confused. "Do you like my makeup?" She asked. Lumiere smiled at her. "Yes. I really do. You look beautiful." Lumiere then walked down the hallway and down the stairs.
After dinner, Emilie went back to her room to remove her makeup and get ready for bed. After that night, Emilie didn't wear all of that make up, but maybe some light lip gloss.
