Dave sighed as he looked around the bull pen of the BAU. He really did hate Christmas but he was trying so hard not to show just how much he hated it. He felt eyes on him and he looked over to where he could feel them coming from and saw Spencer looking at him. He knew that the younger man was watching him in concern and he frowned at that.
He took another drink of his Scotch before sighing and making his way over to Spencer. "I'm not going to crack you know."
Spencer didn't say anything at first but when he saw Dave looking at him waiting on a reply he sighed. "I didn't say you were going to crack Dave."
Dave shook his head. "Well kid you keep looking at me like you think I'm going to crack. I just really don't like this time of year."
Spencer nodded and looked back at the coffee he had in his hand. "You know Dave just because I was looking at you doesn't mean I think you're going to crack. Not everybody has to like Christmas. In fact there are quite a few people in the world who don't like Christmas. I was just looking over at you because there was a blonde woman behind you who kept checking you out."
Dave choked on the drink he had just taken and looked at Spencer in shock. "Kid did you just tell me that a woman was checking me out? How do you even know she was checking me out?"
Spencer swallowed and looked down at the floor before looking back up into Dave's eyes. "Well it was kind of hard to miss Dave. She kept eyeing you like you were a piece of meat and her eyes didn't like leaving your behind."
At this Dave's eyebrows went up and he looked around the BAU bull pen and sure enough there was a blonde woman and her eyes were on him. He couldn't help but smirk a little and then outright laugh when he saw the woman blush and turn her head around. "Well now maybe this Christmas won't be so bad at all. If you'll excuse me kid I have a lady to go and chat."
Spencer's eyes twinkled as he looked at Dave. "Well Happy Holidays you Bastard."
Dave's eyes widened in shock and then he laughed. "You're learning kid you're learning."
Spencer smiled as he watched Dave walk up to the woman in question. He hoped that maybe just maybe Dave's mind would be off the fact that it was the Christmas holidays for even just a couple of hours.
