Compliance

So, here is my drabble resonse to Endiku07/OnyxMoonbeam's Weekly Supernatural Drabble Challenge. Not including the song lyrics, it is only 100 words and I'm completely unsatisfied with it and thus may be turning it into something longer if I ever have free time again in life. Supernatural does not belong to me in any shape, form, or world, nor do the lyrics to From Yesterday, an honor which belongs to the musical genius Jared Leto, I just was listening to the song while I wrote this and the lyrics felt like they just *fit*. And I sorta love him so there's that too. Also, only one this time too 'cause wow...this really *was* a challenge word. Though I want to try the whole 'Keening' thing so maybe i'll post an additional chapter with one for that.

Edit: No, I am not using the lyrics from the radio version of the song. In that version, yes, the word is sin. On the studio version the word is shit, a point that I really don't want to argue.

On a mountain he sits, not of gold but of shit
Through the blood he can learn, see the life that he turns
From a council of one
He'll decide when he's done with the innocent

-30 Seconds to Mars; From Yesterday

He'd decided that he wasn't so goddamn keen on letting demons run his life for him.

But on a second thought he wasn't so hot on letting some angels contemplate his fate either.

His entire life he hasn't chosen a damn thing himself. His dad did it all for him and he just…complied. And now he was caught between angels and demons.

It was like a really twisted game of dodge ball and you better pick a team before you're out.

But maybe, picking a team was just overrated; maybe the real fun was in watching them destroy each other.
