Strangely all these challenges get me to write. Although I should better finish the next chapter for my story...! ;) This comes in at about 240 words and I would love to read more Hide and Seek, thanks.

Mandatory Downtime is a hard thing.

What kind of person are you if you need to be orderd to relax?

Does that even work?

These were only a few things John Sheppard thought about while lying on his bed.

He already had played golf today and had brushed up on his skateboarding skills. In remembrance of the latter he touched his forehead. He could have sworn last time he skated in that corridor there hadn't been a wall!

That was when it hit him – Mckay! He hastily grabs his earpiece and tries to contact Rodney.

No reaction!

Maybe he has taken off his earpiece too?

That was his first thought but a second later he slapped himself on the forehead! This is Mckay he always has his earpiece in! After another unsuccessful try to communicate with the residing genius John started to look for him. In the labs and his quarters and every other know working place.

No luck!

As a last resort he went to the Control room and had Lieutenant Banks check the city's internal sensors.

No Rodney!

He tried one more time to reach him this time resorting to a lie: "Rodney the gate malfunctioned! We need…" he never finished that sentence because suddenly Rodney's voice boomed out of the city wide speakers: "That is cheating Colonel! Come and find me! Just a tip: Walls are meant to be broken down!"
