Galinda stared at her emerald roommate at Shiz. She thought it was stupid that Madame Morrible put girls together in a room. For all she knew Elphaba wasn't, but she might be. She didn't know. There was no point in telling Fiyero, he would only slap her and tell her that they were through.
Without warning, she asked her green roommate, "Do you know what I want to do?"
"No.."
"Well, guess."
"Read a book?"
"No." She leaned over Elphaba and kissed her.

The two girls left their room and went to Life Sciences. Since Fiyero wasn't there, Galinda suddenly burst out, "This was never the way I planned, not my intention.
