The Chronicles of Riddick: The Forgotten Planet
Once upon a time, there was a monster that terrified the citizens of a small town called Crystal Lake every year, on Friday the 13th. He wore an old fashioned hockey mask to hide his disfigured face, and carried a big machette, using it to dismember anybody who dared enter his lair. For years, people lived in fear of this monster. They used weapons of all kinds, trying to find a way to rid themselves of their silent nightmare. He was shot, burned, stabbed, and even blown up, but it seemed that he would always come back, determind to kill anybody he chose. Finally, having had aquired the best technology available, they finally put an end to his reign of terror, and captured him; placing the hateful monster in a cell. Now they had him. Now he would never be free to add to his list of victims. However, they ran into a small problem: they knew that one day, like any normal criminal, he would eventually find a way out of his cell, and he would strike terror in the hearts of Crystal Lake's citizens once again. But how could they stop that from happening? He could not be killed, it seemed, though they tried desperately. Finally, a scientist made a suggestion that would finally answer their prayers: Put him on ice, and send him into space where he would never be able to kill again. So doing exactly that, the citizens of Crystal Lake finally, and readily, rid themselves of thier monster: The man called...Jason Vorhees. But, the monster known as Jason, though he had been all but forgotten, would become free. Years later, after Earth was abandoned after having been rendered almost uninhabitable, the survivors set out to find other planets so that the human race would survive. They went to the outer reaches of space, and finally, their search would finally end. They encountered other alien races who helped them find a star system capable of furnishing them of every one of their needs. There, they thrived even more than they had on Earth, inhabbiting every planet in the system.
