Holding her hand, running fast as hell, The Doctor makes his way down the corridor of the hall, dragging his companion's breathlessly, frightened form, in hopes that he can save the two of them, for most of the other people on the ship had been eaten by the beast. Feeling her hand in his, he can feel the sweat of her palm, her heart beat, under her skin, racing like a horse.
Behind them, the others straggle along to keep up. Before them, it is dark, for all the lights have been broken, wires ripped from walls, sparking up in pools of water that he is so desperately trying to avoid on his run.
All around them are the sounds of the hull be crushed by the pressure of the sea. OR is that the beast stalking though the vents. He cannot tell. He slows to a stop, causing his companion to crash into him, when he is sure he hears something; the sound of splashing through water. He tenses, and holds her hand tighter. Behind him, he can hear the panic in the others' voices, for the rumbling is getting louder.
"Is someone down there!" calls a voice from just ahead. The splashing comes closer. From behind, the sound of rumbling turns to crashing, as the hull gives way to the beast crashing through its side. The Doctor turns to the sound of their screams, to see them trample past each other to get away, knocking him and his companion over in the process.
"Doctor!" she cries out as soon as contact is lost. He scrambles to his feet. Those who are fallen behind her get swept up into the creatures mouth, it is only inevitable that she too, gets eaten. Turning to look behind her, in split seconds, she sees the creature and screams.
The Doctor tries to make his way to her, but is pulled back to safety by someone behind him. Others, too, are pulled to safety, but not his companion, for she too is swallowed up.
"Noooo!" But it is too late, for she is gone.
