Percy's POV
I watched as the remains of Gaea crumbled. For a moment there was silence but then a cheer was sung from the lips of all those who remained. All of us stood there
with a slight smile on our faces. As everyone started moving towards the severely injured a voice of what we thought was the already defeated goddess rang out to what
seemed like all the corners of the world."Fools! Did you all really think that would be the end of me. True you have weakened me but not enough to stop me from doing
one final act. And I think I should do it the Olympus's crutch. The one they've been leaning on, depending on to keep all the immortals fading away or being overthrown.
Or better yet the one he would crumble without." The maniacal laugh that followed chilled everyone to the bone. Before I had enough time to wonder who the Hades
she was talking about a scream pierced the eerie silence only to my dismay I recognized it. I heard from someone that wolves could smell fear, so I'm guessing that at
the time any wolf within a hundred mile radius could smell the the fear and dread that was being etched into my very bones. I ran towards the scream praying to every
divine being that I was wrong. Then I saw her withering on the ground in pain. I ran to her gripping her tightly as tears ran down my face. I don't care if I was supposed
to be the fearless leader, the unbeatable hero because I'm human at least part of me is and here she was the one thing that kept me human, the girl I loved, dying in
my very arms all because of me. She looked up at me with those gorgeous grey eyes of hers and of all the things she could've done cursed the fates for making her life
unjustly short, yelled at me for being the cause of her death, of all those things she chose to smile at me and use her last dying breath tell me that she loved. I heard
someone yell "Noooo" only later would I realize it was me, but that was the last thing I heard before my vision went red and all I could feel was rage.
The god's POV
The gods watched in fear at the power the demigod radiated. That's when everything went wrong. They watched as Percy everything around him shook with a power
never before seen in an immortal much less a demigod. Waves soared to heights never before seen. The Olympians quickly flashed their children onto the boat and made
it soar above the reach of the hurricane. They couldn't believe their eyes it was power that rivaled their own. Poseidon tried and failed to subside the storm and quakes.
Unknowing to them two demigods slipped into the shadows to the ground below.
Well that's the end of the new chapter one. this chapter is much shorter than what most chapter are going to be. Sorry to those who actually have been waiting for this story, but I didn't get enough reviews to give me enough confidence that people wanted this story to continue. But anyways seeing as how summer's approaching I will be rewriting and updating chapter much more constantly.
