title: behind the scenes
prompt: sketch. Don't have access to the thing right now, so couldn't tell you which one. I'll put it up later...
pairing: tokka. All of them. Maybe some Kataang/Maiko mentions, later down the line...
a/n: um. Yeah. I have writer's block with I'd Lie, so the next chappie's gonna be a bit delayed. I need a beta-reader, too, for all my crappy drafts of Of Homework and Hormonesd, etc D: So, lo and behold, this. I had fun writing it...as with what has come to pass, not expecting it to be very popular, but I wanted to do the Tokka100, however many reviews or whatever it gets :D
It actually is a fairly applicable painting, now that he thinks of it. Although the teeth might have been going a little overboard. Maybe.
But then again, Toph would probably appreciate the fact that they thought her so much scarier then she actually was. Sokka glanced at the picture once more, and shuddered.
Yep.
Scary.
But really—it's all in black and white, isn't it? And that doesn't work out. Because Toph's irises are a pale, sea-foam green that is nothing like that crudely drawn eyes in this picture, and her hair has a raven-feather ebony sheen, not at all like this dull black. And her skin is much smoother than that, and overall, the picture doesn't really do a very good job, in terms of putting down on paper something that is just Toph.
But she won't like that, not at all. In fact, Sokka can hardly ever imagine any circumstance where Toph would actually like—like being called—
Pretty.
Not that she isn't because, now that he thinks of it, she really is.
But Toph won't like that.
So Sokka offers up, shrugging, Well, actually, it does look pretty good, and doesn't say that he thinks the original is a thousand times better.
