"You have to trust me!" He yelled from the other end of the corridor.

She screamed, "I-I can't let you!"

She was losing energy. She knew she would have to give in soon.

But she kept running, never letting his blond hair out of her sight.

"Please!" She cried, "Don't do it! You can't leave!"

She began to wail. Neither her heart nor her body could stand it.

"I love you!" She yelled, collapsing helplessly onto her knees and onto the dirt ground.

He kept running towards the light, but his eyes became glassy, "I know!" He shouted back at her, "And back at 'cha!"

With all his energy left, he thrust himself into the blinding light with a smile.

She couldn't scream any more, she was choking on her tears. She knew he was leaving this world permanently, and saw it only as that.

But he knew that even though in this world, in this life, he would never see her face again, even though he would be separated from his opposite for seemingly forever, they would be together again.

Maybe not now, or any time soon, but they would for sure be together again.

He couldn't feel any more. His entire body was numb. He pulled off his green scarf from his neck, and didn't struggle when his legs began to disappear into the bright light and air.

His scarf made it out of the light, so he smiled again. He wanted his last expression to be a happy one. Not a sad one.

As his head completely disappeared, the light exploded and calmed the cave, and sent a huge gust of wind along the rocky walls.

All the Pokémon stopped fighting and returned home. But a lone, black-haired girl never moved.

She had no more tears to shed. Her entire body was filled with dread.

The boy she loved, the hyper blond, was gone, and now nonexistent.

Her head snapped up abruptly when she heard something shuffle through the cave; it was a light shuffle that was barely audible to her small ears.

She looked around, without standing, and spotted the scarf which had been carried through the cave by a gust of wind.

She got up and ran towards it. She was jumping frantically in the air from crumbling rocks and pebbles, and standing as high as she could, until the tip of her index finger unhooked the fabric from the high ledge on the cave.

She jumped up and grabbed it before it could fly away, but she tumbled down the side of the cave, earning her scrapes and bruises. But that was the absolute last thing on her mind.

She cried again. Her body hurt, and her heart ached. She wanted to be in his arms again. Look into his warm, inviting orange eyes again. Wanted him, to be there again.

She ripped her pink scarf off, with almost no thought, and wore the ragged green one around her neck instead.

The color of the scarf, and the colors of her clothes did not mix well at all, but she didn't care.

No matter what anyone said, or what was happening, she would where that scarf. No exceptions.

"I love you Pearl," She whispered into the cave air, rubbing the soft fabric between two fingers.

Somewhere far away, in a different place then earth, a certain blond was watching, and said with a sad smile, "Back at 'cha, Platina."
