Chapter One—The Strange Visitor

Harry had just gotten home from his 5th year at Hogwarts. He stepped out of his uncle's immaculate car and headed straight to his room without having to be told. He needed to be alone. Throwing his things in a corner, he fell onto his bed, overwhelmed with emotion. So much had happened this past year. He had been changed for life, scarred. He finally knew why it all was happening, why Voldemort had such a desire to see him die. He would talk about it with Sirius but Sirius was gone... It was all his fault. If he hadn't gone to the Department of Mysteries, then Sirius would still be alive. He would never forgive himself. Harry got up and stood by his window, looking out onto the street full of children, marveling in the summer afternoon. He wished so badly that he could be like them, so innocent, without a thought in the world of an evil wizard trying to kill them. A single tear ran down Harry's face as he thought about his lost childhood. Voldemort had stolen it from him. He had stolen a lot of things from him. Just as Harry was sitting back down on his bed, a bluish orb drifted into his room and transformed into a pretty woman with curly blonde hair and laughing blue eyes. She came over to Harry and sat down beside him, ignoring the look Harry was giving her. He wasn't used to people just appearing in his bedroom, especially people he didn't know. She turned to Harry and smiled dazzling at him. "Hello Harry. My name is Tali Midin. I was appointed to watch over you since the Dark Lord came back to power. You must complete your destiny, for the sake of not only the world but also the universe. If the Dark Lord wins, then he will get rid of good forever. It is very important that you defeat him so I will be helping you. If you need any help with anything, just call out my name and I will be there quicker than you can say "Voldemort!". And with that, she transformed back into the blue orb and swirled back out of his room, with no further explanation. Harry, still stunned by the sudden entrance of Tali, fell back onto his bed and fell asleep, the day's events having completely drained him of his energy.
