Ignorance Would Be Blissful
Disclaimer: None of the characters are mine, they belong to the all great and powerful J.K. Rowling.
However the plot is mine and you'll find a three-headed dog lovingly called Fluffy after you if you take it from me!!
On to the story.
A small, red-headed figure sat near the enchanted lake of Hogwarts, her small knees pulled up against her chest.
Her thoughtful brown eyes never moved away from the rythmic rise and fall of dark, murky lake. The figure's delicate arms
crossed over her knees as she leaned forward, as if the magically beautiful lake was whispering to her and she was straining
to hear what the body of water had to say.
Right behind the girl, was a completely invisible presence, only felt by keen snakes and other serpent-like creatures.
It knew that it's presence was not recognized by the girl at all. However that did not stop it from watching her intently with
invisible eyes. It secretly longed to reach out and caress her soft red-orange tresses. Yet the presence knew all too well it
couldn't. It was less than ghost, it couldn't even be felt if walked through. So the slight force took pleasure from the daylight
fantasy that the wind now stirring her long, shining mane was its own long, slender, pale fingers, running playfully through her
hair. But the dream was only a dream and was shattered when the presence saw Him running towards the girl.
Him, He who had taken away everything. The presence's power, chance to be reborn and even the love of it's life.
He had taken away it's chance to be with red-headed girl of it'd dreams, who was now standing to greet the presence's
enemy. Oh, how the fates played with it's mind so. It was cruel irony that this presence's own enemy was in love with
the same girl as it was. A flashback ran uninvited into an invisible mind. The presence had once been a tall, black-haired,
sixteen-year old boy with extreme powers. The boy once admired by all, was now and then, a memory. The boy it had
once been had tried to regain a bodily form when it's love was only eleven, with woes and worries. The boy had lied to
Him, told Him that He was his target, while the whole time his REAL target had been the girl's heart. But alas, her sweet,
yet fragile heart belonged to no one else but Him, the twelve year old who would spell demise for the boy, the lord, and the
memory of them all.
So of course, the boy, blind with jealousy, wanted to be rid of the obstacle in his way to his love. However he had
underestimated Him and that brought him to his present predicament; an it. No longer a boy, man, or even ghost. No, it was
a memory now. And as long as it was remembered, it would always be around to go through the hell of knowing it's love
and enemy were perfectly in love with each other, forgetting it. Only did it survive in the back of their minds, in the area known
as 'Do Not Open'. It would go on until they died. It would suffer day by day the knowledge that they loved each other,
He loved her, she loved Him. No room for it.
Surely, ignorance would have been bliss.
End
Well, that's my first uploaded fic. Hope you enjoyed and that it wasn't too confusing. The story doesn't mention names
but it's obvious that this is Tom Riddle, now being known as 'it', and he's reflecting on Harry, refered to as Him, and the
red-headed girl is none other than Ginny. Read and Review. Flames i'll just cook food upon.
