Violet Storms
"Mama?" the small voice echoed though the dark. "Papa?" The vacuum of the forest swallowed her calls for help. A sob rose in her throat; a strangled cry escaped from her lips. Her body shook like a leaf as she fell to her knees; tears streamed down her small face and dripped off her chin. Violet was lost. Panic rippled through her, what if no one ever found her? What if she never saw Mama and Papa again? Or Gray? A sob escaped her lips as she thought of her little brother. Violet was torn from her panic when a nearby tree fell over and she had to roll out of the way.
"Woah, that was close!" Violet looked at the tree mere feet from her. "How did it fall over?" She wondered, as she rolled to her feet. Violet stumbled over the fallen tree's roots, and found herself staring at an icy blue dragon. A scream rose out of her throat and escaped before she could stop it. The dragon whipped its head around and stares at Violets small shaking form. As her light green eyes met the dragons deep blue ones, she froze. The dragons' eyes were not ferocious nor were they animalistic; they were kind, and intelligent. "Hello little human." The dragon greeted Violet in a surprisingly gentle voice.
"Who are you?" Violet asked in a slightly shaky, but demanding voice. "What do you want?"
The dragon chuckled, "I am Aurora the ice dragon. Who are you, youngling?"
Violet stood up straight, "I'm Violet Fullbuster! And I'm going to be powerful wizard!" She exclaimed in a proud voice, putting her hands on her hips and striking a pose. Aurora chuckled at the five year old, and reached out her claw as if to shake hands. Violet grabbed it with both hands and shook it with a big smile on her face. "Nice to meet you Violet, what type of magic do you have?" Aurora questioned. Violet's smile faded, "I don't know, my papa was going to teach me…" she trailed off as she started to cry again.
"What's wrong, youngling?"
"I'm never going to learn magic because I got lost!" She cried. Aurora smiled fondly, and tapped Violet on her head. "Young one, you can still learn magic. I can teach you." Violet looked up and rubbed her eyes dry, "But what about my family?" Aurora smiled softly, "I do not sense any other humans in the forest. I'm sorry but I'm afraid I will not be able to find them." She paused as Violet let out a cry. "But I can be you're new family." Violet sniffled.
"Really?" she squeaked. Aurora smiles at the young girl, "Really."
"But what about my brother?" Violet asks, "He needs me, he's only three you know."
The blue dragon smiles at this, "You will meet him again, in time. But for now, let's make you into a big powerful wizard." Violet beams up at her. "Okay!"
