Disclaimer: I don't own anything because if I did Angel would have never left and Spike would have stayed evil and Dru would be just as crazy as ever. And Buffy would be Buffy.
The sound of stilettos clicking away on the pavement took away the warmth of the California morning from his heart. Liam "Angel" quickly turned and started to walk away from the noise that everyday he dreaded hearing not, because the rich and the beautiful picked, teased, and tormented, him but for basically the extreme opposite reason. Angel knew he shouldn't love her they had broken up 5 years before in 8th grade he should be over her, but he wasn't. Liam could fondly remember the times when he had all of those high heeled girls following his every move, and when they all backstabbed her , because she had him and they didn't. He had told and she had just shrugged it off with a sigh of "so what's new?"
"Bloody hell you stupid friggen loser I was walking hear don't you know when to bow down to your betters?" Spike spit out vehemently. Angel smirked and replied" Well than Spiky why would I even consider bowing down to you, wouldn't require you to be kissing my shoes or ass knowing you, would probably prefer the kissing of the ass." Out of nowhere well actually it was kind of obvious and predictable a hand that was of the deathly white almost like marble came flying and punched him in the face. But it didn't hurt Liam he just smirked at him. The group of girls who he had turned and walked away from before were now staring. Cody was smiling and looked at her "best" "friend" waiting for her to do something to show that she was still in love with Angel.
Buffy had seen all of this. He was her best friend, her boyfriend, and the one who had tried to protect her from all of the people she was with now. She wanted to rush to him to say you were right to apologize to kiss him, but this was Liam she was talking about. He hated her now all because of what had happened 5 years earlier…..she remembered riiiiiing well now wasn't time for a walk down memory lane. She had a class to be late to and pay attention in, other people to mock, point, and laugh at. She sighed at the last thought it wasn't really her but this is high school nobody cares about who you really are and if you think they do you are either crazy or delusional but whatever.
