Lead Me, Lord
Please lead me, Lord. Please forgive me.
I know not what I do.
Or if I know, it seems I'm always
Wandering away from You.
I love you, God, I want to be Yours,
I want to belong to You,
To live for you, but something in me
Lies, and tells me I need more…
My own comfort,
My own peace,
My own understanding, too.
I seek these things, even though
I should be trusting You.
My heart deceives me,
My will decays,
Your peace will last,
My peace will fade,
You are the One I pray to follow,
Yours is the breath of life I borrow,
Please guide my thoughts, my words, my life,
My actions,
Help me do what's right,
And help me to do what You want me to.
Help me be Yours,
Through and through.
