Learning the Layout.
Ever wonder where Ariadne and Arthur were coming from when they arrived on the staircase of the hotel to discuss plane arrangements?
Here's what happened…
Arthur/Ariadne
All of the team member stood on the stairs on the inside of the hotel, talking about the task at hand while I started to show Arthur the details. We walked through every single part of the layout, literally. The bar with large glass window and tables in front the lobby and now towards the staircase.
"This is the hotels pen-row staircase" I told him, though he already knew what is was. After all, he was the one that explained them to me in the first place.
"Good work. Most will be using the elevator so this will give us a quick exit." Arthur smiled at me. Every time I see that smile my heart melts a little more. Before long I'll be so far gone I won't be able to get back.
"Shall we look through the hotel rooms?" He asked, I nodded and we headed toward room across from the staircase. This room represents where Fischer will be taken after everyone enters the second level.
I opened the door with the key card I had in my pocket. Arthur started to inspect the room while muttering to himself, 'We can 'find' the case in the bathroom, or maybe in the safe? No, no the bathroom would work better…"
I walked over to the closet and looked through the drawers: nothing inside. There were three hangers next to two soft white robes. I turned around to ask Arthur if he was done and came face to face with him. I froze in shock, he was so close I could smell his cologne. He smelled so good I just wanted to reach up and kiss him. As it turns out he had the same thought.
I felt his hand on my chin lifting my head up until I was looking directly in his eyes, which fluttered to look at my lips. Soon his mouth was on mine, hot and wet. I backed up far enough so I was against the wall.
After what seemed like a short time we broke away from each other to gasp for air. Still Arthur's lips didn't leave my skin. He trailed open mouthed kisses down my neck towards my collarbone while my hands grasped the back of his neck trying as hard as I could to get him closer. He moved is hands to my hips an squeezed tightly moving me so we were walking towards the other side of the room. It wasn't until then that I remembered where we were - a hotel room.
A half hour later Arthur and I quickly dressed and headed to the main lobby where the team was. I decided that I could just pretend that nothing happened no matter how much it kills me to say it it's for the best. We were just walking up the stairs when Arthur responded to something Cobb said, I hadn't even realized he was talking.
"It would have to be a 747." He told Cobb.
"Why is that?"
"Because in a 747 the pilot's up top, the first class cabin's in the nose. So no one could walk through. But you'd have to buy out the entire cabin and the first class flight attendant."
"I bought the airline…It seemed neater." Eames and Cobb looked at each other smiling.
"Looks like we have our ten hours." Cobb announced. "Ariadne," Cobb looked over to me "terrific work by the way." I glowed with appreciation.
Arthur looked to me and gave me a small smile, one filled with pride…and secrets.
