Unexpected
No one had foreseen this.
But Quil had always done the unexpected.
He aced every class in high school, did his chores regularly and hardly ever complained about his wolf life (unlike some.)
But this was far more unexpected than even he could have expected.
Watching that beautiful little girl splash in the tide pools down at the oceanfront, fists clutching at the water to watch the anemones scare away almost made him drop to his very knees.
