Thanks to a friend of mine, I now ship Benry. I have decided to do a series of drabbles based off a prompt site. Hope you like them, Melissa!

Prompt: Frog
Mary Macdonald was never a shy girl. Coming from a pureblood family, she had never attended school before, but that had never stopped her from making friends. In fact, she got along with most of the muggle children that lived near her quite well. Therefore, it was no surprise to anyone that knew her before Hogwarts that by the end of the Welcome Feast she had already made a new best friend, Lily Evans.
Benjy Fenwick was quite the opposite. A quieter kid you couldn't find anywhere. His mother had insisted on sending him to muggle school as a child, where he was bullied for his shy, bookish nature. Only once did he stand up for himself. Thanks to some accidental magic, the bully in question found himself stuck on the school roof. Benjy was expelled the next day. No one was more surprised than he when the Sorting Hat placed him in Gryffindor.
It was their first morning at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Mary and Lily were sitting across from each other at the Gryffindor table. The two were talking animatedly about all the stuff that they were going to learn and how rude 'that git, James Potter' was for shoving them out of his way on the stairs and not stopping to help when Lily's books fell to the ground. Their conversation was soon interrupted by the arrival of mail when a large box was set atop Mary's plate of bacon and toast. Glancing down the table, she noticed a small boy walk into the Great Hall, looking nervously at the large table. "Hang on," she told Lily before getting up. She walked over to where the boy still stood petrified.
"Hi, I'm Mary," she introduced herself. "Would you like to sit with us?" She motioned toward where Lily was sitting.
The boy nodded gratefully before following her back to her seat. "I'm Benjy, by the way," he added so quietly that he was sure she didn't hear him. To his surprise, she did.
"Lily, this is Benjy. Benjy, Lily," she introduced the two.
"Hello," Lily greeted the boy cheerfully, causing him to blush.
Mary opened the box that was still on top of her food. "Care package from Mum," she told them, pulling out various sweets. She handed one to Lily.
"Chocolate frog, Benjy?"
The boy nodded again, taking the chocolate from her. Benjy smiled. For quite possibly the first time in his life, he had friends.
