Arthur and the 2 new schools: Arthur has your school board decide to build 2 new schools? Well it happened here.
It starts out at the School Board. They are deciding what the name of both new schools. A Democrat and a Republican.
"It must be United Elementary School," said the democrat, "I love that name."
"No it must be Alfred Smith Elementary School," said the republican, "He was Mayor for 4 years."
"Okay lets vote," said school board president, "We will decide what it,s name will be."
They voted 6-2 for United Elementary School. Now they are deciding what the second one will be named.
"It must be Andrew Turner," said the democrat, "He was the first dog catcher our town ever had."
"No it must be just P.S. 23," said the republican, "No special name for it."
They voted 6-2 for P.S. 23. Now we head to the Read house.
"So yes they are naming the 2 new schools today," said Mrs. Read, "They might be meeting now."
"Will we be going to 1 of the new schools?" said Arthur, "Just want to know."
"That is up to you two," said Mrs. Read, "That is who it is up to."
"It sure is," said Mr. Read, "Only you two can."
Arthur said "Okay".
DW said "Sure".
The school board told the local news stations and local news paper.
"Why sure it will be front page," said Bitzi Baxter, "It is good news."
That man said "Good".
