I am your oldest and truest friend
I'm there for to lean on when you are about to fall
There to shield you from the pain of the world
There for any reason at all
You come to me when you need some one to listen
When you need someone to care
For you I will always have the time
For you I will always be there
I love you more than anything in this world
Gladly I'd give everything to you
You already have possession of my heart
And you don't even have a clue
I wonder if you could ever understand
Or if you could feel the same as I
That would be the happiest moment of my life
I'd probably be able to fly
To find this out though is to take a chance
One that I am not willing to make
I could scare you off or hurt you
And put everything we have at stake
I could never bare to see you in pain
It pierces my heart for you to shed tears
And for me to be the cause of it
Is beyond one of my worst fears
If I risked what we have and lost it
Everything for me would end
