EPOV
Snap… The lion turned around, but didn't see me. Right as I was about to pounce, a scent so sweet came across my nose. I started running towards it but as I got closer, a gunshot rang out through the forest. I jump in the trees, and quietly crept along. Ahead of me was a small clearing with a man and a young girl bound, and three men standing over them
"Please, I'll give him the money, just let my daughter go!" the bound man cried. One of the men stood up and shot the prisoner. The girl was screaming now. I get a good look at her. She had multiple bruises on her and her leg was bent at a weird angle. We lock eyes for a moment, and then I hear one of the creeps begin to have sick thoughts of the girl.
"Hey boss, can I have the girl? I need a new plaything at home." Enraged, I jump from the trees and instantly kill the man. The other two scream and try to run, but I quickly snap their necks. I go to the girl, and untie her. She looks at me, and then feints. In the mere two seconds I had eye contact with her, I felt as if I was connected to this girl, even though her blood called to me. Even though her blood calls to me like a sweet melody, I just know I could never hurt her. I pick her up and race to the hospital. I run into Carlisle who has a look of shock on his face. He sees the girl and immediately springs into action.
'Edward what happened?' Carlisle asked in his mind.
"I was hunting, and I found her. Some creeps kidnapped her and killed her father, she has no one" I replied in a vampiric whisper.
'She can stay at our house until we decide what to do. Go, finish hunting, I'm keeping her overnight, comeback when you are done.'
I nod and exit the hospital. As I walk away, my thoughts wander to the girl. All I can do is hunt quickly and come back to the captivating girl in the hospital bed.
