A/N: I took another break from updating "A Spell Gone Awry" when this idea popped into my head. I'm am forever going through my friends purses as I just love looking at what kinds of things people keep close to them - you can learn a lot about people that way. So, I had the idea of writing a series of little drabbles based on things Hermione keeps in her bookbag. Enjoy!

Assorted Textbooks:

History of Magic, Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, Potions, Transfiguration, Charms, Herbology, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Care of Magical Creatures, and Muggle Studies

Hermione walked briskly down the stairs to the Gryffindor common room. It was late Sunday morning, and she had drastically overslept. Exams were coming up soon and she stayed up late last night studying, then left her books in a stack in the common room for the night, too tired to drag them all back to her room. She had meant to get up early to continue studying, but her body had decided otherwise.

As she reached the bottom of the stairs, she could hear Ron and Harry arguing around the corner.

"I told you they'd be taller than you!"

"Damn. I'm going to have to write Mum for some more spending money, that was my last Sickle."

"Cough it up, Weasly! Cough. It. Up."

"Wait a minute, Harry! You're levitating them! That's cheating!"

Hermione rounded the corner to see all of her textbooks stacked up precariously and floating several feet in the air. The boys, still arguing over the winner of their bet, turned slowly as if they could feel Hermione's eyes burning a hole in their backs.

"What are you doing?" she shrieked.

"Erm," Ron mumbled.

"Shit," Harry groaned as all the books fell to the floor in a heap.

Ron side-stepped the mess neatly and strode up to Hermione, clapping her on the shoulder.

"Ready to study, Mione?"

"Don't tell me...Harry needs to start with Charms first."

A/N: Please review and if you have a suggestion for other things Hermione would have in her bag, let me know!
