"Kaoru," a gentle voice greeted the blond, the usual, soft, comforting yet mysterious smile was evident upon the face of the one who greeted him. "What is Kaoru 'doing' here? Shouldn't Kaoru 'go' home, already? It's getting 'late'."

Returning the smile, Kaoru sheepishly scratched the back of his head, "Ah, well, I was waiting for you, Kanata," said he, earning a look of surprise from Kanata, "I was.. Well.." he avoided eye contact, "Wondering if Kanata would like to go home with me."

"Ah, so Kaoru wants to 'go' home with me. Kaoru is kind~"

The two, Kaoru and Kanata, had been friends ever since they met at the aquarium. They both liked the sea, from the beautiful, bright blue, to the variant types of fishes.

Personally Kaoru liked the way Kanata's hair and eyes matched the sea very well, he seemed to stayed still and stared in silence as Kanata tilted his head back and threw him a smile filled with happiness as the background was a huge aquarium, filled with various types of fishes, it made everything stop, his breath, time, like everything had to stop just for the blond to appreciate the beauty of his friend.

Did he ever think of Kanata as a 'friend', though?

"Kanata," murmured the blond, stepping closer to the sea-loving blue haired man, eyes looking serious, unlike usual. With one of his two hands reached to caress the other's cheek, he leaned down slowly, inching their faces closer, taking Kanata by surprise. "Kanata," he murmured again, eyes fluttering close.

With his blue eyes widened in mild surprised, Kanata's hand reached for the hand upon his cheek, "Kaoru—" he was cut off, by Kaoru's lips upon his forehead, so gentle and careful, as though he was a fragile doll. One hand snaked around his waist, pulling him closer and into a warm embrace.

"Kaoru, Kaoru," he called, earning a soft hum as a reply. He didn't mind their position, in fact, he liked it, so he wrapped both of his hand around Kaoru then sunk his head on the other's chest, taking in the familiar scent. "Kaoru has a 'nice' smell... I like it."

Eyes slowly opening, Kaoru smiled, and tightened his embrace, "I love Kanata's scent, too." 'I love Kanata' he mentally added in his head, avoiding any chance that would ruin their current moment, wanting it to last for as long as it could.

"Ng... I love Kaoru.." whispered Kanata into the blond's chest. Kaoru fell silent, taking in the three words he thought he had heard wrong.

Pulling back slowly, Kaoru reached to caress Kanata's cheek, again, "Does Kanata mean it? Do you love me, Kanata?"

"Always have and always will, Kaoru," that smile. That smile he had always loved from the bottom of his heart, it made his cheeks slightly red. "Does Kaoru love me too?"

Smiling, he nodded, then cupped both of the other's cheeks, eyes gazing into lime ones, filled with love and adoration, "Of course. I love Kanata with all my heart, I love you, Kanata."
