Angelina's daughter looks at herself in the mirror and frowns, because the freckles that are spread out over her nose contrast from her darker skin tone. She's tall and sturdy, with wide hips and strong arms. She has a big smile, just like her father.
And she hates it.
Too tall, she says. Not skinny enough. Everyone else in the family has red hair, why don't I?
But she is Angelina's daughter. Her mother knows, someday, Roxanne will learn to love what she sees in the mirror.
